My name is Carly and I’m a fourth-generation green thumb, I can remember picking tomatoes in my grandma’s garden at a very young age. I grew up on a beef cattle farm; so a vegetable garden, goes hand and hand. I can only remember 2 years in my entire life that we didn’t plant a garden, one being the year that my mother passed away and the other being the year that I graduated nursing school. This summer I have decided to quit my job and go full-time gardening, I live a very simple life- grow vegetables and run a little produce stand.
GrowingDays2015 entries are creative reflections of the beauty and health that Mother Nature offers. My garden is located in a small Kentucky town, not far from the Tennessee state line, close to the Daniel Boone National Forest.
